ABOUT THE WORK
Artwork Description
Temporal Reverie is a 4x4 mixed media work on canvas that bends the familiar into the fantastical.
A slightly angled Big Ben emerges from a swirling cosmos of Pebeo prism, moon, and fantasy paints, where gold, gray, red, and blue intertwine in layered luminescence.
Beads, two colored seashells, a breastmilk jewelry flower pendant encased in resin, and glass cabochons punctuate the surface, anchoring cosmic abstraction in deeply personal fragments.
Time itself feels fluid, bending around memory, intimacy, and the delicate artifacts of life. "Hours shimmer in resin and gold, where Big Ben drifts through a dreaming sky."

THE ARTIST'S VOICE
Interpretation / Story
Interpretation Temporal Reverie explores the fluidity of time, memory, and personal history. The angled Big Ben floats in a shimmering, cosmic atmosphere, reminding the viewer that time is not linear but layered and mutable. Embedded personal artifacts — a breastmilk pendant, seashells, beads, and glass stones — connect the vast, ethereal concept of time to intimate human experience, grounding the cosmic in the personal. Gold and red accentuate emotion and illumination, while blues and grays reflect introspection and melancholy. The piece becomes both a meditation on temporal flux and a repository of intimate memory.
