Tempest Within is a 4x4 mixed media canvas where layered enamel, ceramcoat, vitrail, prism, fantasy, and moon paints swirl into a smoky grey backdrop, punctuated by bursts of bright red and orange.
Emerging from this stormy atmosphere is the serene, grounded figure of a bald Black man in side profile, shirtless, looking into the distance.
Amid an otherworldly tempest, he embodies spiritual equilibrium, preparing to confront a brewing elemental energy that threatens both self and world.
Nebula-like gold-green forms, recalling both coral and distant galaxies, swirl in the background, emphasizing the cosmic and mystical tension between chaos and calm. "Amid the storm of stars and fire, he stands, the calm eye of cosmic fury."
