ABOUT THE WORK

Artwork Description

Liminal Silence is a 4x4 mixed media acrylic pour on canvas, where copper, deep blues, and black swirl in fluid currents.

Emerging from this abstract flow is the serene image of a Black woman, eyes closed, in quiet meditation.

The piece captures the delicate threshold between thought and stillness, outer chaos and inner calm, suggesting a suspended, liminal space of contemplation. "In the swirl of copper and midnight, she drifts at the edge of silence."

THE ARTIST'S VOICE

Interpretation / Story

Liminal Silence explores the psychological terrain between the seen and the unseen — a meditation on emotion, memory, and the fragile thresholds of identity. The work invites contemplation of inner landscapes and the quiet movement of thought beneath form.
