Luminous Shadows of the Unseen
Materials Used: Acrylic paint, spray paint, Pebeo Prism paints, mica powders, India inks, paper/photo collage, phosphorescent paint, texture mediums, heavy gloss gel, beads, glitter, gold foil, epoxy resin
This painting collage is a surreal exploration of dissociation, transformation, and the delicate interplay between light and shadow. At the top right, a woman’s face emerges, her features obscured by an iridescent purple hue, her gaze distant and detached, as if she exists between worlds. Below her, another woman floats upward, defying gravity, her form ethereal and weightless, symbolizing liberation or ascension. At the center, a moth—a creature drawn to light yet shrouded in mystery—anchors the composition, its wings delicate yet resilient. In the bottom right, a rose and a betta fish coexist, the rose symbolizing beauty and fragility, while the fish represents fluidity and the subconscious. Together, these elements create a dreamlike narrative of introspection, transformation, and the search for meaning in the intangible.
"In the twilight of becoming, where shadows hum and light bends, we float between what is and what could be—moths to the flame of our own unraveling."
