A commission begins with a feeling, a symbol, a memory, a color atmosphere, or an imagined world. Rather than creating simple decorative artwork, Megan Ashman's commissioned pieces are developed as layered mixed-media portals — personal, symbolic, textured, and alive with discovery.

The Commission
Process
Each commission is treated as a singular collaboration between collector intention and artistic intuition. No two commissions follow exactly the same path.

INQUIRY
Submit a commission request with your preferred size, budget range, symbolic themes, colors, and any artwork references from the gallery.

CONVERSATION
The studio reviews the request and may follow up with questions about mood, meaning, placement, and visual direction.

CONCEPT DIRECTION
A loose conceptual direction is established. The process remains intuitive, allowing the artwork to evolve naturally.

CREATION
The piece is created through a layered mixed-media process — paint, ink, texture, collage, symbolic imagery, and hidden elements.

COMPLETION & DELIVERY
Final images are shared before packaging, pickup, or shipment. Each piece is documented and archived in the gallery record.

The Work Must Still Belong
to the Gallery Language
Commissioned pieces are collaborative in spirit, but not controlled reproductions. The final artwork remains rooted in Megan Ashman's intuitive mixed-media process, symbolic language, and phantasmagoric visual world. The most successful commissions allow room for mystery, emergence, and discovery.
